ÉCHEC O CUBE is an abstract strategy game invented in 1999 by Alain Dupont, protected by copyright (CIPO Canada No. 477714).

The name captures the spirit of the game: you shout “ÉCHEC O CUBE” the moment you close a winning square on the board, like a “checkmate” in classic chess.

Simple principle: two to four players take turns inserting light pawns (1 pt) and dark pawns (2 pts) into the board's grooves to close squares. Golden rule: two pawns of the same colour can never touch. A neutral red pawn marks the zones where no more points are possible. Quick to understand, deep to master. Tactile, visual, elegant. For families and seasoned strategists alike, all ages. From age 8 to understand the basic rules and play a full game.
