Our Story
27 years of waiting. A family that believed.
A game invented in Québec in 1999, refined in silence, and finally ready to meet the world.
In 1999, Alain Dupont designed a grooved board where the pawns fit in place. When a pawn slides into a groove and touches another pawn already placed, the move is valid.
The same year, the work was protected by copyright CIPO Canada No. 477714.
Alain — one idea, two hands
A self-taught inventor, Alain did everything himself: the mechanics, the plans, the prototypes, the adjustments to the thousandth. For 27 years, the game never stopped being refined — each version more precise, more beautiful, closer to the original idea.
ÉCHEC O CUBE did not come out of a design studio. It came out of a Québec workshop, one groove at a time.
